 Sept. 19 West Seneca Invitational: The girls’ cross-country team placed 6th in the West Seneca West Invite.  Bridgette Austin led Wilson by finishing 24th  overall with a time of 22:30.  Amber Lehman placed 24th, Kate Martin 41st, Thea Hohensee 56th, and Korena Wise 57th. The boys’ cross-country team placed 6th  at the invite as well. Kevin Hanes placed 8th with a time of 17:41.  Mike Reubens had a strong race and finished 23rd.  Scott Devole 32nd,  Ben Truesdell was 43rd, Liam Bull 44th,  Kyle Hanes 48th, and Troy Chiappone 53rd.  Liam, Ben, Kyle, and Troy all set new PR’s on Saturday. Phil Carra placed 99th and Justin Stephenson 127th in the JV race.
 Sept. 29 Home Meet V. Albion & CSAT: The girls’ cross-country team started the league season by defeating Roy-Hart and CSAT but losing to Albion.  Bridgette Austin finished 3rd overall.  Amber Lehman was 8th, Kate Placek 10th, Kate Martin, 11th and Thea Hohensee 15th.   Korena Wise set a new personal record with a time of 25:21 and Penelope Mirotti completed her first varsity race.  The girls are currently 2-1 in the league. The boys’ cross-country team defeated CSAT but lost to Albion yesterday.  Kevin Hanes placed 2nd with a time of 17:49.  Scott Devole placed 5th, Liam Bull 9th, Ben Truesdell 12th, and Kyle Hanes 13th.  Setting new personal records were Phil Carra (21:08) and Justin Stephenson (21:56).  The boys are currently 1-1.
Oct. 3 McQuaid Invitational: The boys’ cross-country team placed 9th out of 36 teams at the McQuaid Invitational on Saturday.  Kevin Hanes placed 9th overall with a time of 16:45.  Mike Reubens was 31st with a time of17:28.  Scott Devole ran his best race of the season and placed 46th with a time of 17:52.  Liam Bull placed 114th with a time of 18:57 and Ben Truesdell finished 142nd with a time of 19:21.  Phil Carra ran his best race of the season with a time of 19:53 and Justin Stephenson ran 22:00. The girls’ cross-country team was led by Amber Lehman with a time of 22:07.  Kate Placek had her best time of the season with a time of 23:31.  Rounding out the team were Kate Martin (23:54), Thea Hohensee (24:04), Korena Wise (24:56), and Penelope Mirotti (25:19).  
Oct. 6 at Barker: The boys cross-country team ran very well, despite their loss to Barker.  Kevin Hanes placed 2nd with a time of 17:04.  Rounding out Wilson’s top five were Mike Reubens 6th, Scott Devole 8th, Liam Bull 14th, and Kyle Hanes 17th. Kevin, Mike, Scott, Liam, Kyle, Phil Carra, and Justin Stephenson all set new PR’s on Tuesday.  The boys are currently 1-2 in league action. The girls team lost to Barker as well.  Bridgette Austin was Wilson’s top runner.  Also placing for Wilson were Amber Lehman, Kate Placek, Kate Martin, Thea Hohensee, and Peppy Mirotti.  The girls are now 2-2 in the league.
 Oct. 13 at Newfane: The boys cross-country team lost to Newfane and Roy-Hart.  Kevin Hanes won his first race of the season with a time of 17:32.  Rounding out Wilson’s top five were Mike Reubens 6th, Scott Devole 7th, Liam Bull 13th, and Ben Truesdell 16th. The girls team also lost to Newfane.  Amber Lehman was Wilson’s top runner.  Also placing for Wilson were Bridgette Austin , Kate Martin, Korena  Wise and Peppy Mirotti.  The girls are now 2-3 in the league.
 Oct. 20 at Medina: The boys’ cross-country team defeated both Medina and Akron.  Kevin Hanes won his 2nd race of the season to lead Wilson.  Mike Reubens was 2nd, Liam Bull 4th, Ben Truesdell 8th, and Phil Carra 10th, Kyle Hanes 12th, Troy Chiappone 15th, and Justin Stephenson 21st.  Mike, Liam, and Phil all set new PR’s on Tuesday. The girls’ cross-country lost to Akron.  Amber Lehman led Wilson with her 3rd place finish.  Bridgette Austin placed 4th, Kate Placek 6th, Kate Martin 9th, Korena Wise 10th, and Peppy Mirotti 11th.  Kate Placek and Peppy Mirotti both set new PR’s on Tuesday.
 Oct. 31 All-League Meet @ Lakeside Park: The boys’ cross-country team placed 4th at the N-O League Meet.  Kevin Hanes placed 3rd overall with a time of 18:19 to earn first team all-league honors.  Mike Reubens ran a strong race and placed 9th overall.  Mike earned 2nd team all-league honors.  Also having strong races were Liam Bull 22nd, Phil Carra 29th, Ben Truesdell 33rd, Kyle Hanes 34th, Troy Chiappone 46th, Justin Stephenson 62nd, and RJ Seager 90th.  The boys’ team finished the regular 7-7. The girls’ team also placed 4th on Saturday as well.  Leading the way were Amber Lehman 13th and Bridgette Austin 14th.  Both girls earned 2nd team all-league honors.  Also running well were Kate Placek 23rd, Kate Martin 26th, Thea Hohensee 31st, Korena Wise 32nd, and Peppy Mirotti 37th.  The girls’ team finished the regular season 5-7.
