Norwood-Norfolk Invitational Results
The boys varsity cross country team placed 8th out of 21 teams Saturday at the Section 10 Invitational. Donald Truesdell placed 2nd overall with a time of 16:35. Tony Kaminska and Kevin Hanes placed 20th and 23rd respectively. Shayne Diez ran a strong race to finish 73rd and Matt Matson rounded out Wilson's top five.

The girls' team placed 8th out of 17 teams. Amber Lehman placed 20th and Kari Kopchick placed 22nd to lead Wilson. Alaina Kopchick ran well in her first varsity race. Kayla O'Keefe and Lindsey Seefeldt rounded out Wilson's top five.


Medina/Barker Dual Meet
The girls' cross country team opened up their league season by defeating Medina and Barker at home. Kari Kopchik was the overall winner and set a new personal record time of 21:20. Amber Lehman placed 3rd, Alaina Kopchik 4th, Kayla O'Keefe 8th, and Lindsey Seefeldt 9th.

The boys' cross country team began their season 2-0 by defeating Medina and Barker as well. Donald Truesdell was first overall with a time of 17:22. Rounding out Wilson's top five were Tony Kaminska 2nd, Kevin Hanes 3rd, Shayne Diez 6th, and Matt Matson 9th.


McQuaid Invitational
The boys team placed 13th in the small school seeded race. Donald Truesdell placed 2nd overall with a time of 15:37. Tony Kaminska ran a personal best 16:18 to place 16th. Shayne Diez, Mike Reubens, and Matt Matson all had strong races to complete Wilson's top five.

The girls team placed 14th out of 30 teams. Amber Lehman led Wilson with a time of 20:24. Kari Kopchik, Alaina Kopchik, Brittany Casino, and Kayla O'Keefe rounded out Wilson's top five.


Roy-Hart/CSAT Dual Meet
The girls team improved to 4-0 by defeating Roy-Hart and CSAT. Kari Kopchik won her second race of the season with a time of 20:38. Amber Lehman placed 2nd, Alaina Kopchik 4th, Brittany Casino 5th, and Bridgette Austin 6th.

The boys team also defeated Roy-Hart and CSAT. Donald Truesdell was the overall winner with a time of 16:41. Tony Kaminska placed 3rd, Kevin Hanes 4th, Shayne Diez 7th, and Matt Matson 8th.


Newfane Dual Meet
The boys' team defeated Newfane to improve to 5-0. Donald Truesdell was the overall winner with a time of 16:29. Tony Kaminska and Kevin Hanes ran excellent races to place 3rd and 4th respectively. Shayne Diez ran a personal best to place 8th, and Matt Matson placed 10th.

The girls' team suffered their first loss of the season to Newfane, 26-30. Amber Lehman set a new personal record of 21:12 and placed 2nd overall. Kari Kopchick was 3rd and Brittany Casino 5th. Alaina Kopchick and Bridgette Austin placed 9th and 11th respectively.

Albion/Akron Dual Meet
The girls' team defeated Albion and lost to Akron. Amber Lehman placed 4th overall and set a new personal record time of 20:33. Kari Kopchick placed 6th and Brittany Casino 8th. Alaina Kopchick and Kayla O'Keefe rounded out Wilson's top five. The girls team is now 5-2.

The boy's team improved to 7-0 by defeating Akron and Albion. Donald Truesdell set a new course record with a time of 16:06. Tony Kaminska and Kevin Hanes each set new personal records in placing 4th and 5th respectively. Shayne Diez placed 9th and Matt Matson 15th.


All League Meet
The boys' cross country team placed first at the All League Meet to take their second straight undefeated league title. Donald Truesdell, Tony Kaminska, and Kevin Hanes all earned first team all league honors. Mike Reubens and Shayne Diez both ran excellent races and placed 16th and 17th respectively.

The girls' team placed third in the All League Meet to finish the season with a league record of 10-4. Kari Kopchick and Amber Lehman placed 3rd and 5th respectively to earn first team all league honors. Brittany Casino and Alaina Kopchick both made second team all league. Bridgette Austin ran a personal best to round out Wilson's top five.


Sectional Meet
Boys Win Section Title!
The boys' team placed first to win the Section VI Class "C" title. It is the team's third title in the last four seasons. Wilson placed three runners in the top seven, Donald Truesdell 2nd, Tony Kaminska 3rd, and Kevin Hanes 8th. Shayne Diez and Mike Reubens placed 23rd and 24th respectively. Ben Truesdell and Matt Matson rounded out Wilson's top seven. This win qualified the boys team for the state meet.

The girls' team placed 4th at the sectional meet. Kari Kopchick and Amber Lehman had excellent races and placed 7th and 12th respectively. Senior Brittany Casino had a strong race to finish 19th. Alaina Kopchick placed 26th and Kayla O'Keefe placed 48th. Savannah King and Lindsey Seefeldt rounded out Wilson's top seven. With her 7th place finish, Kari Kopchick has qualified for the state meet.

State Meet
The boys' team completed an excellent season by placing 4th at the state meet for the second consecutive season.

Donald Truesdell led the way for Wilson, placing 14th overall. Tony Kaminska ran an excellent race and placed 20th. Kevin Hanes finished 34th, Mike Reubens 95th, and Shayne Diez 97th. Matt Matson and Ben Truesdell rounded out Wilson's top seven. Donald and Tony also made the All-State Team by placing in the top 20.

In her first trip to the state meet, Kari Kopchick had a strong showing and placed 77th overall with a time of 21:41.
