Middle School Courtyard Renovation

Well, it has been MANY months of hard work, but with the cooperation of students, teachers and parents, the new Middle School Courtyard is open and ready for visitors! Several people donated items to the courtyard, including: a birdbath from the Ransomville Garden Club, a flowering crab tree from the Wilson Garden Club, a pair of park benches from the McGahan family, a birdhouse from Mr. Burrows and a beautiful sundial, partially donated by the Senior High Student Council. Mr. Franchini's CAD classes built the three wonderful tree benches, and two BOCES students, (Casey and Ed) built the rustic gazebo that hosts a nice planting of perennials. Thanks also to Mrs. Johnson for designing the courtyard, and to Mr. Greenwald, Mr. Duguay and Mr. Schessl for helping out with the final bench assembly. The best part of the new courtyard is that it was mostly made with the helping hands of students. It was even finished in time for the sixth grade to use it for its awad ceremony and hot dog cookout. The Middle School Student Council is proud to have created a space that is going to be enjoyed by ALL Wilson students for years to come. Stop by a take a peek!
