The PTA
is very active at school and supports educational programs for
students as well as bringing in speakers on topical issues for
parents. Our Fall Festival, Just Say No programs and Parents as Reading Partners(PARP) are just some of the events and programs to PTA Sponsors. Many members, parents and grandparents,
volunteer support in the classrooms or work with individual
students.
The rich history of the surrounding community provides students
with a great advantage. In close proximity to Niagara Falls,
Old Fort Niagara, the Erie Canal, and the Underground Railroad,
students are afforded opportunities that few other schools can
offer. The students add to the community with days of Care and
Share to give back to the community and to provide a "happy
holiday" to local community members.
Thomas Marks Elementary is part of a district that cares about
children and their welfare and that lives up to its motto: "Where
Children Succeed". |
